The forming collar (2) for the forming of a film sheet into a sleeve, especially in a bag forming, filling and sealing machine, has an outer face through which the film sheet (1) is guided to an inlet opening defined by a deflection edge, and through this is guided into a tube. At least one part of the deflection edge is formed by an insert which is small in comparison to the complete forming collar. The insert is an exchangeable wear part, and at least in the surface region forming the deflection edge consists of a harder material than the rest of the forming collar.
