To renovate or build a railway station platform, a distance beam (11) is inserted on the existing platform edge (1) in one or two parts for the required thickness. A cast-in-situ concrete slab (26) with the required dynamic strength is laid over the beam, composed of a filigree plate and cast concrete with reinforcement, together with steel fiber concrete (35) to take up tensile stresses without requiring surface reinforcement. The longitudinal carriers are of concrete cast in place, and the shell molds are left in position. The platform structure can be supported by rammed steel posts (33) or cast concrete carriers (51) on concrete foundations (52). Water runs off over the rear edge into a drain (37,38). The cable conduit (15) is laid on the old platform surface.
