The assembly to mount a component on a base body, and especially to fit screw closures (1) on tubes (3), has a feed unit (4) where the components are ready for collection. A mounting unit (2) has at least one holder (6a,6b) for the screws for fitting. A separating unit (7) takes each screw from the feed, for transfer to the mounting unit, which grips each screw around most of its circumference.
