PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving a drain property substantially without influencing other tire characteristics such as steering stability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has a straight groove 1 in a tire peripheral direction and a lug groove 2 branched from the straight groove 1 on a tread face. A plurality of protrusions 4 projecting in a curved shape seen from a plane are arranged on a straight groove wall face opposite to a branching position of the lug groove 2 in a tire peripheral direction, and the heights from the groove wall faces of the protrusions 4 are sequentially set low in a tire reverse rotating direction.
