PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit having an electric lamp and a cover body, and having the improved fixing means which fixes the cover body and the lamp. SOLUTION: In this lighting unit, the sealed terminal part of a lamp container is constituted as a socket which protrudes from the cover body through an opening part, and the cover body is laid on the lamp container.
