PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of automatically controlling the controlled state by learning desire for air conditioning per every occupants even if a plurality of occupants come aboard of a vehicle and changing control characteristics of an air conditioning means based on the result of learning. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner for a vehicle, regarding adjustment of temperature, left/right independent control is possible. Regarding a temperature set value for calculation required for calculating a target blowing out temperature for determining an opening of an air mix damper, a temperature set map reflecting the desire of the respective occupants at a Dr side and a Pa side is stored. When the set temperature is switched by manual setting, the switching is learned and the temperature set map is changed and re-stored. Thereby, the temperature set map reflecting the desire of the respective occupants for every Dr side and Pa side can be stored. The adjustment of temperature can be carried out by adjusting the opening of the air mix damper for every Dr side and Pa side in response to the desire of the respective occupants.
