SOLUTION: In controlling the clamping pressure by a clamping pressure control means 100, a driving current value I<SB>SLT</SB>as a driving signal is calculated on the basis of a target clamping pressure P<SB>BELT</SB>determined by a clamping pressure control means on the basis of a second relationship R<SB>2</SB>, on the other hand, in controlling the engagement pressure by an engagement pressure control means 92, the target clamping force P<SB>BELT</SB>is temporarily determined on the basis of the target engagement pressure PG determined by the engagement pressure control means 92 on the basis of the first relationship R<SB>1</SB>, and a linear solenoid valve (control hydraulic pressure generating valve) SLT is driven on the basis of the driving current value I<SB>SLT</SB>calculated by a driving signal calculating means 94 on the basis of the target clamping pressure P<SB>BELT</SB>on the basis of the second relationship R<SB>2</SB>to generate the hydraulic pressure P<SB>SLT</SB>.
