PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male connector which is easy to handle, and in which a force to separate the male connector from a female connector is generated unless the connection is completed. SOLUTION: The male connector 13 has an elastic slider 29 of a lock arm 21 installed with a lock support column 23, and the slider 29 is supported capable of moving restricted in the axial direction. In a locking position, the slider 29 prevents deflection of the lock arm 21, and makes the lock arm released at a different position from the lock position. A compression spring 27 supported by the male connector housing 14 and the slider 29 acts on the slider 29 so as to be positioned at the locking position. An elastic locking element 35 made of a round steel wire is mounted on the slider 29. At non-loaded state of a spring leg part 37, the locking element 35 is contacted with the end face 6 of the female connector housing. By means of contact to the released face of the male connector housing 14, the locking element 35 is removed from the contact with the end face of the female connector housing.
