PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it is necessary to set and manage heating and softening conditions at every color for heating and softening the corresponded portions of the support bodies, when pressing implant portions of electrodes into the support bodies, and that heating condition management becomes complicate and distortion such as bowing occurs, while forming the support bodies for supporting the electrodes of the electron gun with different coloring glass materials, respectively, and with multi-colored structures so as to externally distinguish differences in varieties and specifications of the electron gun; to provide insulating support bodies for the electron gun and a cathode-ray tube incorporated therewith for setting and managing with the same heating and softening conditions and avoiding occurrence of a distortion such as bowing, though there are differences in color of coloring for the support bodies. SOLUTION: Insulating support bodies 23 to which implant portions 25 of electrodes G1 to G8 composing an electron gun 21 are pressed in and welded are structured with pillared insulating bodies 26 and coloring members 27 with roughly rectangular shapes, and the members 27 are partially exposed on side surfaces of the insulating bodies 26 on opposite sides to the implant portions 25, and disposed at positions near the side surfaces.
