PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording tape cartridge in which a braking member obstructing rotation of a reel at the time of non-use can be attached appropriately. SOLUTION: In a recording tape cartridge 10, a reel 14 winding a magnetic tape T and housed in a case 12 is unrotatable when a braking member 74 is attachable and detachable to a bottom part 60B in a reel hub 60 being supported by the case 12 and a braking gear 74A provided on a disk part 75 is engaged with gear teeth 74, when engaging is released, rotation can be performed. The braking member 74 is guided to an engaging position of the braking gear 74A and gear teeth 72A being guided in the disk part 75a and a flange part 98 projected from the disk part 75 by a taper wall 96 having larger diameter than the outer diameter of the braking member 74 and provided along a circumference of a circle being coaxial with the reel hub 60 when it is inserted into the reel hub 60.
