PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor device for mounting a handrail on a place with a narrow width such as a wall (parapet) erected around the roof of a concrete structure and a balcony or the like. SOLUTION: The anchor device is so constituted that a gap between an anchor 1 and a concrete skeleton 11 is filled with an adhesive 12, at the same time, the anchor device is fixed by expanding the front end of an anchor body 3, the anchor 1 has a hollow structure providing a male screw 2 to a basic end, a circumferential groove 4 is formed on a surface reaching the male screw 2 from the front end on the surface of the anchor body 3, or a scattered recess and/or a projection are formed, at the same time, a slit 5 is formed along the direction of an axis from the front end, a hollow section 6 is formed in a small tapered-off diameter section near the front end, a center pin 7 sharpening the front end is inserted in the hollow section 6 from the basic end and that a nut 8 is screwed to the male screw 2.
