PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray locking device and a recording device equipped with the tray locking device capable of positively preventing a tray from being pulled out of an apparatus body during the operation of an apparatus. SOLUTION: This tray locking device 200 is constituted to lock the pull-out of the tray 120 retractable into the apparatus body 101. The tray locking device 200 is provided with a manually operated first lock 210 and a second lock 220 operated according to the driving and stop state of the apparatus. The pull-out of the tray from the apparatus body is thereby regulated by two locks, i.e., the first lock and the second lock. Consequently, the tray can be prevented from being inadvertently pulled out of the apparatus body by setting to maintain the locked state of the second lock even if the first lock is released from lock during the operation of the apparatus.
