<p>In a process to prepare a leather hide or a textile panel bearing unique markings the leather or fabric is laid out on a bench for cutting to patterns and flaws or unique markings are detected and registered using a laser beam. The laser emitter is attached to an overhead frame assembly that travels over the leather or fabric. The assembly prepares a leather hide or a piece of fabric bearing unique markings that is laid out on the bench. The laser beam scans the surface to detect and map imperfections in the computer, which then employs a nesting program to compare the piece of material with the patterns to be cut. The computer works out the most efficient cutting (27) sequence leaving imperfections in the waste margins.</p> |
