<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make control response faster in order to invite a driver toward an improved driving performance of an automobile by showing the driver how to operate the accelerator pedal. <P>SOLUTION: The automobile is provided with a means for calculating and showing an accelerator opening to be recommended to the driver for improving at least one of the driving performance items, by combining a plurality of pieces of information influencing the running of the automobile, and a means for changing part of the driving conditions of the automobile.
