<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead wire connector which enhances workability as a simple structure without impairing watertightness and to provide a method for forming the lead wire connection. <P>SOLUTION: The lead wire connector is obtained by sandwiching the lead 20a of the lead wire 20 and the lead 40a of an added wire 40 between compression sleeves 61. A normal temperature contraction cover 62 of the enlarged state by an inner core (not shown) is disposed at a position for covering the protecting part 20b of the lead wire 20, the protective part 40b of the added wire 40, and the compression sleeve 61. The normal temperature contraction cover 61 is brought into close contact with the protective part 20b of the lead wire 20, the protective part 40b of the added wire 40, and the compression sleeve 61.
