<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical jaw exercise measuring instrument for defining the movement area of an upper jaw or a head and a lower jaw as a measurement area when a patient is seated on a dental chair without requiring an exclusive space other than the dental chair and also without being hardly affected by disturbance light of a fluoroscent lamp, etc., concerning the jaw exercise measuring instrument for measuring a mobile locus made by the position of a speicified point in the lower jaw, i.e. the jaw exercise measuring instrument for performing measurement at the side of the chair about the field of the jaw exercise measuring instrument, or for reproducing the intraoral movement of the patient on a personal computer based on intraoral data. <P>SOLUTION: The instrument consists of a measurement unit including: a hard support body for the upper jaw; a hard support body 1 for the lower jaw; and a bodily gauge point support tool, which are provided with a plurality of signal generation bodies, and of sensors for measuring the positions of the whole signal generation bodies. The whole signals generated by the whole signal generation bodies arranged in the upper jaw hard support body, the lower jaw hard support body, and the bodily gauge point support tool are propagated toward at least the counting unit arranged to the left or right of the patient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
