<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile pedal device that can reduce a load on an occupant's foot in case of vehicle collision, can stably stop a pedal in a desirable position and can reliably prevent damage to carpet from the pedal. <P>SOLUTION: The automobile pedal device 10 comprises a stopper 20 for limiting the stroke of the accelerator pedal 16 operatively depressed by a driver. The stopper 20 projects into a cabin 11 from a dashboard 12 and has a substantially U-shaped section in a side view so as to deform plastically when a load exceeds a given value.
