PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing an outer wrapping type paper carton. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a placing means with which a paper material in an upside down position with the side panel raised and conveyed to a predetermined position is placed, a glueing means with which glue is applied to both of the ends of the front shorter panel of the paper material, a folding means with which the glued ends of the front shorter panel are folded downward, a flap-folding means with which a flap formed at the end of the longer panel of the paper material is folded horizontally inward, a means with which the flap folded horizontally inward is pressed against the pressure-receiving surface of the placing stand of the placing means and bonded and a control means with which each of the means is driven in sequence in a predetermined timing.
