PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform drive of a load even when a key switch is switched to a starting position during a timer operation, in a drive device of the load in which energization is performed to the load only while a timer is carrying out the timer operation at starting of an engine. SOLUTION: This drive device of the load added to the engine comprises: a switch 7A for timer operation time prolongation; and a switch drive circuit 7B for timer operation time prolongation. The switch 7A for timer operation time prolongation is connected to both ends of a timer capacitor C1 via a resistor R10 for current limiting and bypasses a part of a charging current of the timer capacitor C1 from the timer capacitor when the switch is in an ON state. The switch drive circuit 7B for timer operation prolongation supplies, when a movable contact 3a of a key switch 3 is switched to a starting contact 3d and an output voltage of a battery 2 is dropped, a drive signal to the switch 7A for timer operation time prolongation, to maintain the ON state of the switch 7A for timer operation time prolongation.
