PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a cleansing cosmetic which little gives loads to skin and has an excellent stain-removing effect and an excellent keratin-removing effect. SOLUTION: This method for using the cleansing cosmetic is characterized by spreading and coating a foamy cleansing cosmetic on a face surface coated with makeup cosmetics, removing the makeup cosmetics and the cleansing cosmetic on the face surface, when the coated cleansing cosmetic is left for a prescribed time and defoamed, again coating the foamy cleansing cosmetic on at least the easily darkening portion of the face surface, and then removing the cleansing cosmetic, when the coated cleansing cosmetic is acclimated to the skin with a finger to defoam.
