PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating vasculitis by utilizing a gene of a vascular endothelial cell growth factor or a genetic polymorphism of a receptor gene thereof. SOLUTION: The gene encoding the vascular endothelial cell growth factor or the genetic polymorphism of the gene encoding the receptor of the factor are analyzed, and the method for evaluating the vasculitis involving evaluating the risk of onset of the vasculitis or the complication thereof uses the analyzed result.
