<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit in which efficiency of a light emitting lamp is improved and wiring for lamp drive can be carried out efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: This unit includes a plurality of light emitting lamps arranged one another and horizontally in each equally divided area after the length in the lateral direction of the whole light emitting face of the backlight is divided into n equal parts, an outer case to support the light emitting lamp, a reflecting plate arranged at the inner side face of the outer case, a plurality of inverters arranged at the rear face of the outer case, a plurality of power source connecting holes formed at a part corresponding to the tip part of the light emitting lamp among the inner region of the outer case and the reflecting plate, a plurality of first power source leadthroughs which respectively connect supply leadthroughs of one end of the light emitting lamp arranged in the nearer part in terms of the distance from the inverter to one end of a connector of the inverter, and a plurality of second power source leadthroughs which respectively connect supply leadthroughs of the other end of the light emitting lamp to another end of the connector of the inverter by penetrating through the power source connecting holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
