HIGHLY RELIABLE TRANSMISSION METHOD USING A PLURALITY OF ROUTES AND SYSTEM THEREOF, AND ROUTER FOR HIGHLY RELIABLE TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly reliable data transmission by a plurality of routes without providing a special function in a transmitting/receiving terminal and without using a plurality of IP addresses.

SOLUTION: A transmitter side edge router 102a duplicates a packet received from a transmitting terminal 101a, adds sequence numbers and individual labels to a plurality of same packets obtained by the duplication and transmits the packets. Core routers 103a-103d transmit the same packets to a receiver side edge router 102b via a plurality of routers on the basis of routes each designated by labels. The receiver side edge router 102b inspects the sequence number added to each of the packets, discards later arrival packets, removes the labels and sequence numbers from early arrival packets and transmits them to a receiving terminal 101b having a destination IP address.
