PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and high quality optical amplifier in which various optical components are integrated and light input and output parts can be formed on the same plane. SOLUTION: A two-port optical isolator is provided with at least a first and a second optical waveguides having at least two optical paths, at least two lenses arranged between the first optical waveguide and the second optical waveguide and at a position optically connected to each waveguide, and an optical isolator function section placed at least between the two lenses. In this optical isolator, the optical isolator function section is provided with at least a first and a second polarizing elements, and a first and a second Faraday rotators arranged in parallel between the first polarizing element and the second polarizing element, and the polarization plane rotating direction of each of the first and the second Faraday rotators is reverse to each other in the same magnetic field direction.
