PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element having enough brightness, excellent in stability and durability, which can be made in a large area and is easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element structured of one or a plurality of organic compounds pinched between a pair of electrodes consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode either of which is transparent or translucent, at least one of the organic compound layers contains a charge transport matter having an oxetane group and/or a cross-linked polymer cross-link a luminous matter in three dimensions.
