PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator that is not influenced by the arrangement of a device in a case to which a permanent magnet motor is mounted. SOLUTION: In the motor of a concentric winding type directly wound with a winding around stator teeth, a plurality of notches are formed at the external periphery of the stator, at least a pair of the notches have parallel surfaces with the inside diameter of the stator in-between, and distances to the surfaces from the center of the inside diameter of the stator are different from each other. Particularly in the longer distance to the surface from the center of the inside diameter of the stator, the center of a slot is positioned on a line orthogonal to the notch. In the shorter distance to the surface from the center of the inside diameter of the stator, the center of the teeth is positioned on a line orthogonal to the notch, thus reducing the magnetic flux density of a yoke, improving motor performance by securing the thickness of the stator yoke, and improving strength.
