PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality image by accurately reducing shading of individual colors without requiring an excessive processing time. SOLUTION: The imaging device 30 of an image pickup part 12 for converting subject light incident via a lens into an electric signal is composed of: a plurality of photo-detectors 31; a photo-detecting part 33 having a vertical transfer path 32a and a horizontal transfer path 32b for transferring electric signals from the photo-detectors 31; and an RGB color filter 34, an ND filter 35 and a micro-lens 36 provided above the photo-detecting part 33 in this order. The density of the ND filter is controlled to control transmittance in accordance with the change of the subject light caused by shading, thereby controlling the output of the photo-detecting part 33.
