PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient expression and higher compression rate of light field data. SOLUTION: This expression method of the light field data comprises: a process for acquiring a set of images of at least one object by a passive method on a virtual surface where a center of projection of an image acquisition device for acquiring the set of images exists; and a process for generating representative of the acquired set of images by using statistical analysis conversion based on parameter display including the virtual surface.
