MAP UPDATING SYSTEM, MAP UPDATING METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract the changes in a map and to reflect the changes into the map.

SOLUTION: A map updating system consists of a collating means which collates the map and an aerial photographic image that is photographed after the map is generated, a decision means which detects the changes of the structures within the image based on the collation between the map and the image and adds any one of the attributes of "stay", "delete", "modified", "new construction" and "request for investigation" which indicates the necessity of making on-site investigation and a display means which displays map figures of the structures on the map in accordance with the attributes.
