<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rusting of an iron alloy part occurring due to water and steam generated in a fuel cell main body flowing into a scroll compression device, to prevent damage of an insulating part of a driving motor part, to prevent noise occurring by intermittent discharge of compressed air from a gas compression chamber caused by the scroll compression device adapting a volume type air compression method and furthermore to filter harmfull chemical substances which can deteriorate the function of an electrolyte film. <P>SOLUTION: A means to position an air exhaust opening of the scroll compression device to be higher in the direction of gravity than an air feeding opening of the fuel cell main body, a means to position a scroll compression part to be lower in the direction of gravity than a driving motor part, a means to position the scroll compression part and the driving motor part to be in parallel in the direction of gravity and a filter to filter the chemical substances, in between the air exhaust opening and the air feeding opening of the fuel cell main body, are provided. The consumed electricity is reduced and the service life of the scroll compressor is prolonged by these means and a generator with little power loss and with profitability is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
