METHOD FOR PERFORMING RASTER IMAGE PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an RIP engine needs very long time for performing required raster image processing before completely printing a long document.

SOLUTION: This raster image processing method includes the steps of: obtaining page counts regarding a print job; specifying a plurality of partitions for the print job; allocating each partition of the print job to one of a plurality of raster image processing (RIP) engines; re-integrating the plurality of partitions from the RIP engine which have been subjected to raster image processing to obtain an output file to which the raster image processing is completed. Each of the partitions to which the raster image processing has been performed is generated by performing the raster image processing to a corresponding partition among the partitions.
