METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DYNAMICALLY ASSIGNING STORAGE ARRAY BAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing assignment of bands in a storage area network. SOLUTION: An implementation method comprises a step for generating response time data by monitoring response time of a data storage resource to requests from applications on at least two client devices, a step for determining whether or not trigger conditions are satisfied based on the response time data and a step for adjusting band assignment levels of the applications when the trigger conditions are satisfied. In addition, a system for implementing this method may be provided with a management station constituted so as to control bands among a plurality of applications executed by one or more data storage devices and one or more client devices. The management station monitors the response time in which a data storage device responds to the requests from the applications and adjusts band assignment to the applications based on the response time.
