PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a BGM reproduction system allowing knowledge of contents or the like stored in a BGM player without taking trouble. SOLUTION: This BGM reproduction system 10 has the BGM player 16, while the BGM player 16 includes a communication means 88 connected to a network 12 to transmit/receive an electronic mail 24, a contents storage means 92 stored with the plurality of contents, and a reproduction program storage means 90 stored with a reproduction program 80 for reproducing the contents, and reproduces the contents on the basis of the prescribed reproduction program. The BGM player 16 has: a retrieval means 96 capable of retrieving the contents stored in the contents storage means 92 and/or the reproduction program stored in the reproduction program storage means 90 by a prescribed retrieval key; and a retrieval result electronic mail production means 91 producing a retrieval result electronic mail 100 described with a retrieval result retrieved by the retrieval means 96.
