PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior portability and to easily and highly precisely measure the weight of a vehicle without being affected by an installation location. SOLUTION: The two shaft-like elastic bodies 11 (11A, 11B) comprise both support parts 11a at their ends and load loading parts 11b on which the load of the vehicle is to be loaded at their axial center parts. The two support plates 12 (12A, 12B) comprise both support holes 12a of which the inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the support part 11a at their longitudinal center parts and overhang parts 12b and 12c extended to the sides of both longitudinal ends. The elastic bodies 11 are constituted in such a way as to support a wheel by the two axial elastic bodies 11 by horizontally and parallelly sandwiching the wheel, arranging the wheel at positionable and fixable intervals, inserting the support parts 11a through the support holes 12a, and supporting the shaft-like elastic bodies 11 by the support plates 12. The shaft-like body 11 is a shaft-like load cell provided with a distortion generating body 11c for generating shearing distortion between the load loading part 11b and the support part 11a, and a distortion gauge SG is made to adhere to the distortion generating part 11c. This apparatus for measuring the weight of the vehicle is provided with two shaft-like elastic bodies 11 (11A, 11B) of the same cylindrical shape and two support plates 12 (12A, 12B).
