METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYCARBONATE RESIN USING RECOVERED PHENOL COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polycarbonate resin with which a phenol compound (a dihydric phenol compound and/or a monohydric phenol compound) contained in a gas discharged from a storage tank of the phenol compound is recovered and the recovered phenol compound is used for producing the polycarbonate resin. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polycarbonate resin comprises using the phenol compound in a molten state according to interfacial polymerization method or a solution polymerization method. The method is characterized as follows. An inert gas is introduced into a tank in which the phenol compound in the molten state is stored and the gas discharged from the tank is brought into contact with a liquid to recover the phenol compound accompanying with the inert gas.
