PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of stably delivering sheets to the place to be fed without lowering the speed even when the remaining volume of the sheets placed in a cassette is changed and therefore the front position in the delivery direction of the sheet is changed, and also capable of avoiding the complication of the configuration of a cassette device. SOLUTION: The timing for starting the feeding to sequentially deliver the sheets stacked on a bottom plate of a sheet feeding cassette is changed depending on the remaining volume of the sheets.
