PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly release a coating film formed on the surface of an autoclaved lightweight concrete panel constituting an external wall of a building in a short time. SOLUTION: In the method for releasing the coating film, whole layer or a portion of the layer of the coating film 2 is released by blowing dry ice from a blast nozzle 18 onto the coating film 2 formed on the surface of autoclaved lightweight concrete (ALC) or an ALC panel 1 including a foamed ceramic (PALC), constituting the external wall 3 of the building, so as to continuously perform peeling action of the coating film, caused by impact when dry ice particles collide with the coating film, contraction of the coating film, and volume expansion of the dry ice, and transferring action of the coating film by air stream.
