PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of preventing smoke of fire from flowing through an elevator shaft and a landing with a simple construction. SOLUTION: An elevator device of the present invention has three sides, jamb 6 defining an entrance 4 connecting between the elevator shaft 2 and the landing 3 and having both vertical frames 7A, 7B and an upper frame 8, a sill 9 placed at the end of the landing in the elevator shaft side, and landing doors 10A, 10B hanging at the side facing the elevator shaft and guided by the sill to laterally open and close the entrance of the elevator defined by the jamb. The elevator device further has a smoke shielding member 14 that fills up the gap between the surface of the landing door and the surface of the both vertical frames and upper frame of the jamb opposite to the door surface when the landing door is closed.
