PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method by which cut burrs of steel generated on both sides of cutting termination can directly be removed on a production line, and to provide a burner for removing burrs capable of cutting operation with high efficiency used therefor. SOLUTION: At the time when steel to be conveyed is cut using a sawing machine, to cut burrs 3 and 3' generated on both sides of cutting termination with cut grooves held in the lower face of the steel, a burr removal burner 4 is turned toward the longitudinal direction to which the cut burrs are stuck, further, the central part of the burner is set toward the cut grooves, and the cut burrs on both the sides are simultaneously melted and removed by the jetting fuel gas and oxygen from the burner.
