<p>A piston (1) of a disk brake comprises a piston body (2), made of metallic material, an insert member (20), made of plastics or ceramic material, and a guard member (40), also made of metallic material, which mates with said insert member (20), at least partially covering it. The bottom wall (4) of the piston body (2) provides a hindrance to contact between the insert base (22) of said insert member (20) and said brake fluid so as to hinder, at least partially, the transmission to the brake fluid of the heat generated during braking.</p> |
