PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for heavy load capable of preventing ozone cracks at a groove bottom of a tread even when a tire is stored for a long time at an inclined posture outdoors. SOLUTION: A tread 1 has at least one peripheral groove 2 continuously extending in a tread peripheral direction. When a curvature radius of a groove bottom of the peripheral groove 2 is designated as R(mm), a groove depth is as D(mm), and a groove width is as W(mm), a relationship of 0.045<R/D<0.1, and 0.05<W/D<0.7 is satisfied.
