RECEIVER AND ITS RECEIVING METHOD FOR ANALOG AND DIGITAL VIDEO MODES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and its receiving method having an analog and a digital video modes, improving the efficiency of memory and reducing the cost of system.

SOLUTION: The receiver having the video analog mode and the digital video mode shares a frame memory required for Y/C separation at the time of the analog video mode chosen by a mode selection signal indicating a TV channel of the analog video mode or a TV channel of the digital video mode, and post-treatment for improvement of video quality, with a mass memory required at the time of digital video decoding.
