摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input apparatus and an image input program, capable of satisfactorily reducing color differences, irrespective of the reading resolution obtained through preliminary scanning. SOLUTION: The image input apparatus includes means 14, 21 and 24 for irradiating illumination light of a plurality of colors successively onto a manuscript 12; an imaging element 17, having two or more light reception lines disposed along the Y direction, each light-receiving line having a plurality of photodetectors aligned in the X direction, thereby imaging a manuscript image for each light-receiving line; means 18, 21 and 28 for continuously moving each imaging line on the manuscript, corresponding to each light-receiving line of the imaging element along the sub-scanning direction; and a means 30 (or 21) for generating a color image signal, based on a first image signal fetched by the illumination light of the first color out of the irradiation sequence among the plurality of colors via a top imaging line on the manuscript, and a second image signal fetched by the illumination light of the last color via a tail imaging line.
