PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor microphone unit which has a large valid electrostatic capacity, while being small sized and being mounted on a circuit board like a usual chip by, e.g., a reflow soldering method. SOLUTION: The unit includes a diaphragm laminated portion 10 in which a plurality of diaphragms 10a-10j having metallic coating films, respectively, are laminated via electrically insulative spacers 30; and a pair of electrode terminals 21, 22 disposed on opposite two side faces of the laminated portion 10. Among each of the diaphragms 10a-10j, each of the coating films of even-numberth diaphragms 10a-10j is electrically connected to one electrode terminal 22, respectively, and each of the coating films of odd-numberth diaphragms 10a-10j is electrically connected to other electrode terminal 21, respectively.
