PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for fixing a stator within a casing, in an electric machine for portable electric power tools. SOLUTION: An electric machine for portable electric power tools has a stator 12 housed within a casing 10. The stator 12 has a stator assembly 20, made up of many flakes 23 laminated each other, at least one flake 23 situated at least one end region of the stator assembly 20 has a protuberance 28 protruding axially over the flake surface, with the stator assembly 20 being tightened securely with frictional connection in axial direction between the casing portions extending radially. The protuberance or protrusion, formed by the flakes of the stator assembly, is automatically squeezed into adjacent flakes and into the casing portions, in tightening securely and axially fixing the stator section between the casing sections which extend radially, thereby preventing the rotation of the stator within the casing by profile connection and frictional connection thereof.
