PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-taxi data communication device which reduces the cost necessary for a transmitter/receiver equipped in a taxi and installation space therefor. SOLUTION: The in-taxi data communication device 1 comprises: a taxi data creation part 7 which creates taxi data including position data and riding state data to be transmitted to a vehicle-dispatching center 2; a mode selection part 10 which selects either one of a taxi data priority mode in which the taxi data can be transmitted to the vehicle-dispatching center 2 based on the riding state data from a riding state detection means 5 and a payment data priority mode in which card data is transmitted to a payment center 3 and the payment data from the payment center 3 returned after transmission is received; and a transmitter/receiver connection part 11 for connecting to a transmitter/receiver 12 which executes transmission or transmission/reception of data of the mode selected by the mode selection part.
