PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing belt which can substantially eliminate the heat of a paper non-passage part due to electromagnetic induction heating and improve the heat generation efficiency and a fixing device using the same. SOLUTION: The fixing belt which has a conductive layer generating heat by electromagnetic induction has the conductive layer laminated on a base layer made of heat-resisting resin and the width of the conductive layer is equal to or larger than the maximum width of a recording medium which is processed for fixation by the fixing belt and narrower than the width of the base layer. Thus, obtained is the fixing belt including the conductive layer generating heat by electromagnetic induction as to the fixing device used to heat, press, and fix an unfixed toner image and the fixing belt used therefor in a copying machine or printer employing an electrophotography system, or an image forming apparatus such as facsimile equipment.
