PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle group for a display device wherein contrast of satisfactory density and density uniformity is obtained, change of image density is small even if repetitive rewriting is performed for a long term and image display of stable density contrast is possible. SOLUTION: The particle group for the display device having a property capable of being positively or negatively charged and colors is characterized in that the particle size/particle size distribution of the particle group for the display device satisfy the following inequalities (1) to (3). Inequality (1):3≤D50v≤25, inequality (2):D16v/D50v≤1.3, inequality (3):D50p/D84p≤2.0 (in the inequalities (1) to (3), D16v denotes 16%-th particle size (μm) from a large particle size side in a volume based particle size; D50v denotes 50%-th particle size (μm) from a large particle size side in a volume based particle size; D50p denotes 50%-th particle size (μm) from a large particle size side in a number based particle size and D84p denotes 84%-th particle size (μm) from a large particle size side in a number based particle size).
