PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress peeling of a first gap holding member from a substrate by disposing the first gap holding member of which the shape of the plane to be stuck to the substrate does not have an angle of 90°or less and a second gap holding member between the substrates. SOLUTION: The second gap holding members 6 with rectangular cross sectional shapes of which the four angles are made to be fan-shaped are formed in a matrix on an alignment layer of gate lines 12, and similarly, the first gap holding members 5 with rectangular cross sectional shapes of which the four angles are made to be fan-shaped are formed in a matrix on an alignment layer of source lines 13. In this case, because the cross sectional shapes of the first gap holding members 5 do not have an angle of 90°or less, the peeling of the first gap holding members 5 from the substrate is suppressed even when pressurized with external force.
