PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a banking structure which minimizes its installation area, can be formed of any type of earth inclusive of generated soil, and can be constructed in a short construction period without intermittence, and to provide a method of constructing the banking structure. SOLUTION: The banking structure is formed of steel wall members 1, 3 functioning as forms, and mixed earth 5 placed inside the steel wall members 1, 3. The mixed earth 5 is a mixture of a hardener, earth, and water. Its slump flow is set in a range of not smaller than 350 mm and smaller than 1,000 mm, and its uniaxial compression strength after 28 days is set not smaller than 50 kN/m<SP>2</SP>.
